The name Vatra comes from Slovak culture, where a Vatra is a large bonfire lit to welcome the longest day of summer. It symbolizes light, strength, unity, and new beginnings. At Vatra Athletics, this tradition represents the journey every athlete faces: choosing to begin, committing to the process, and continuing forward through challenge and growth.
